The Centre for Gender and Development Studies plays a strategic role in advancing knowledge and action on gender-related issues across the University and society at large. Our work focuses on gender equality, women empowerment, youth inclusion, policy research, and the promotion of social justice and human rights. Through evidence-based research and outreach programmes, we aim to contribute to inclusive development and equitable opportunities for all.
We are committed to excellence in gender research, advocacy, and capacity building. Our activities are guided by principles of equity, inclusiveness, human dignity, and social justice, ensuring that our interventions promote positive change and sustainable development outcomes.
In addition, the Centre collaborates with government agencies, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders to design and implement programmes that address gender disparities and promote inclusive development. We also support training workshops, seminars, and public enlightenment campaigns to strengthen awareness and capacity on gender issues.
